a sequence of bumps

this is about as photo-editing savvy as i get!  and i may or may not have done it all in 'paint.'  but there's no way of knowing...  apparently i favor my left side when getting pictures taken!

isn't it december yet?

this is going to be a rather random post, but i just have so many unrelated things to blog about right now  =)

tomorrow is my last day of work before maternity leave!  and it's a good thing, too, because those little preschool kids are totally kicking my butt.  they all got faster.  or i got about 20 times slower.  one of those.  can you tell i am excited?  well, i am!!!

tys and i set up our christmas tree yesterday, and have been listening to christas music for the past week.  we also got some carpet remnants to help insulate our ice-box apartment.  california is so not living up to its reputation these days, with lows like 34 degrees (which is exactly what our apartment ends up being...)  here i am contemplating whether or not the left side of the tree has more ornaments than the right side.  i love our little christmas tree.

not too long ago we had this combination birthday party/baby shower thing.  it was a party for tyson, and john (who goes to school with tyson) and our little baby (who ended up stealing the show, if you ask me)!  anyways, it was a good time, and i snapped some pretty funny shots, like this one, of tyson getting ready to bob for pacifiers.  oh boy... what a trooper!

oh, how i miss you!

1.  AMIGOS!   we had so many crazy adventures.  like the time the boys decided to climb the poor baby pine tree, resulting in broken tree, broken pride, and hours of laughter. a must see!

2.  Messy hair that actually looked good/the ease of a short hair cut (check that teeny tiny stub of a pony tail!  so sweet...)! well, i thought so.  which leads me onto # 3...

3.  Exclamations of que rubia! as i walk by.  yes, yes, my eyes are super closed, but the hair... oh to be a blondie again!

4.   Winter, Winter, Winter!  i truly do miss the snow.  limited visiblity, icy wind, slippery sidewalks, dreading going outside, red puffy cheeks and flat wet hair included!

5.  Fireworks.  not really sure why monterey has BANNED all firework awesomeness from the 4th of july.  PS - speaking of awesomeness, didnt tys do an incredible job with this picture?!?

6.  Fitting into a size 2.  ok ok ok... an altered size 2 (but not that much), and i may have been super uncomfortable by the end of the evening, but there's no way of knowing for sure ;)  but let me tell you, all this weight gain is totally worth it!

7.  Maine!  i heart ME!  we went there for christmas a few years ago.  my mom does an awesome job decorating (there is not an un-festive corner in the house!)

fall

today it feels like fall.  the sky is cloudy (not foggy!), its nice and cool, and when i look out the window i can almost imagine little snow flurries coming down.  no such luck here in monterey, though.  here's a rundown of why fall is the greatest:

it all starts with my birthday!
as if that isn't enough, we get halloween.
then there's tyson's birthday!
scarf and sweater weather.
and thanksgiving!
and to top it all off, there is christmas.
plus, this year we get another awesome treat - a little baby!

here are some pictures of fall in rexburg (where fall is literally about 1 day long, then the weather jumps straight from summer to icy cold winter).

i've been wanting to

get new bedding.  that would make me mucho happy!

i have these ambitions of making my own bedding. now that ive done the baby quilt, i feel a bit more confident, but there are so many more complications with a biggie like a queen sized quilt.   i havent got around to even attempting it, but i like these fabric ideas from ikea.

or i could just get this from anthropologie...i know, right?

PS, this day begins trimester numero 3!  1/2 of october, november, then, december, and baby is here!!!

desert oasis

one time, when tyson and i were dating, we went on a drive (it was one of the first warm days idaho had seen that spring).  little did we know that we would come accross this little gem - the desert oasis, where they sell beer and pop.  unfortunately, the store was closed.  we tried to find it again a few months later, but it was gone.  one of idaho's wonders, gone!

notice our (mostly tyson's) poses.  one word to describe this memory - awesomeness!
